We were given a 'colour challenge' in our practical lesson in which we received a black and white image and had to translate the make-up into complimentary colours.
This is my interpretation of the black and whit image into complimentary colours. I chose to work with blue, orange and purple which I think creates quite an effective overall colour scheme. It was a tricky look to re-create as the lines around the eyes are so straight and geometric in shape. I also could have done the lips slightly more symmetrical. The task was a good practice exercise as it really made me think about the use of colour and how it is placed on the face. It reminds me also of my chosen brand, Urban Decay, as they like to be experimental with their looks and they also include various bright and electric colours in their palettes.
